Other people should get wet for your convenience?

Walk further apart and look where you are going.

This is PH. No matter what you say, someone will propose the opposite.

In london there is barely enough room for people to walk, and then some wker in a golf umbrella comes along.

Presumably OP wants everyone to walk around with tiny fold up ones that might keep hair dry if it's not windy, but legs and shoes will be soaked through.

Yesterday there were countless people having their tiny umbrellas folded inside out by strong gusts of wind, whilst I just merrily strolled along totally dry and comfy, with my giant golf umbrella coping with the high winds and knocking all the peasants into the road.

some different levels of umbrella:

1. Tiny girly fold up handbag umbrella - this is a waste of space
2. Bigger, slightly more manly fold up umbrella with curly handle - stylish but practical
3. Full size umbrella - normally corporate branding - good umbrella but pain to carry - this is your typical CITY umbrella
4. Mega golf umbrella - the ones with the extra bit of umbrella on the edge - carried by annoying people

Funny, I have a compact fold up umbrella and my legs don't get soaked, it's all about the angle you hold it at! And as for shoes getting wet? Are you serious? They are shoes!

That's what happens when you buy a £1.99 umbrella. Invest in a decent one and what do you know, they are wind resistant.
