Never heard of ShopDirect? http://www.lwsdg.co.uk/ourbrands/index.html

They do :-

Additions Direct
Choice
Empire Stores
Great Universal
Kays
Littlewoods
Very
Littlewoods Ireland
Marshall Ward

they also

SEND OUT GOODS IN YOUR NAME WITH NO PROPER PAYMENT DETAILS AS LONG AS IT IS ON CREDIT AND THEY HAVE YOUR ADDRESS FROM THE IDENTITY THIEVES.

THEY DON'T SEND THE FIRST SHIPMENT TO THE BILLING ADDRESS.

So in summary, no proper payment means and sent to an address not connected to where the payment is supposed to be coming from, is it any wonder people take advantage?

So far, being a 41 year old sad sack IT operative with bad complexion, Judas Priest albums and an unhealthy interest in the Sierra RS500 I have apparently bought

ADDITIONS

Calvin Klein Sheath Jacket
Adidas Originals Polo Brown
Adidas Originals Flock Hooded to Black
Nylon biker jacket

VERY

Gio Goi Metallic padded jacket
Majectic Newyork Yankees basBal
Franklin and Marshall Reversible J Forest ( whatever that is???)

THIS SOUNDS FECKING CHAV CITY TO ME ! madmadmadmadmad

For fecks sake, I didn't shop with these people, and yet they are still screwing me over, and it is such a hassle to get anywhere. I am sick of talking to that nice lady in India and the website is useless for Additions and Very, I had to do my own donkey work to end up with taking to the woman on security who gave me their fraud number. I'll ring it tomorrow.

All because they have poor checks and balances in place for security. Do my a favour and avoid them, pulling the £ from their pocket is the only thing that will hit them.

In the meantime wish me luck. No money has been pulled from my debit card or credit card, which is good, but I could end up with a poor credit rating and at worse the chaps coming around taking my Richard Clayderman collection. paperbag

And I only thought it happened to other folk .. frown

Good luck with it, I've been battling with them for 11 months now (and have recently involved CAB) to try to clear my name for goods which were apparently bought on credit using my details.

Sadly I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel yet, however the FSA (or whatever their called) will be getting involved very soon!

shop direct are now part of littlewoods group and have been for a few years. If you want any details of any personel at head office email me... Amazing how these things get sorted once you get away from the muppets! I'd prefer to not be brought into it though wink

I bought an ironing board with Empire Stores, payment went through and it was duly delivered. A month later I got a letter saying I'd taken delivery of an ironing board that wasn't mine and asked when they could collect it still in it's packaging. A quick angry call sorted that. Another month later I get another later asking if received my ironing board...

Tossers.

They sent me the statements.

I have finally talked to someone who is sorting it out, passed my details to CIFAS UK fraud so that if people do credit in my name then they need a password hope it works. The lady was very nice actually.

Given how big they are I guess it's no wonder a lot of people try to do fraud with them. I am still surprised they will send out stuff on credit not to the billing address though, it seems rather obvious that might pose a rather large hole to be exploited.

I just hope the little scumbag gets his Corsa rear F1 style wing broken when the police go round to lock him up for life. .. biggrin

Wow, having read my OP I almost broke into a rant there smile The beers I had to calm me down may have had the opposite effect.

Definitely. Sounds idiotic that they let people do this. Still... what's your address again?
