Ok, Cheer me up, there's a nice view from the office window and I'm off to see Muse tomorrow. Which are both good things.
On the other hand, I'm a bit knackered, the date I was hoping for probably won't happen, got to work today to see a friend of mine have a blazing row and now she's all pissed off, except it was all in Italian and I only understood half. Work is dull, dull, dull. I've lost my job (Working my unofficial notice now) but can't talk to anyone here about it to get it off my chest for another month when I get my official notice. They also won't give me a reference other than to confirm my dates of employment (Company policy. Not because I'm st or anything) so I don't even have that motivation. Job hunting's turning up very little and I could do with a pint. Also, I had planned to stay in Italy for good, but this has happened halfway through my settling in and I have to move back to the UK. Flat needs a tidy, James May's toy stories has a gap in the transmission and I've already watched all the available House, Dexter, Californication and flashforward.

...And breathe.

Just remember the fact that it's only because all these things are happening at once that it's bothering you. If these events had been spread out over the space of a few months, you probably wouldn't have even noticed.
If you believe in karma, then your in for a really good spell soon.
Also, FFS man, your in Italy! You could be in exactly the same situation back in England and that would be depressing. smile

Whereabouts in Italy are you? I spend a fair bit of time every month in Modena and Turin...

If you come back to the UK you really will be depressed stay over in Italy.

If you come back you will have all of that to think about plus the cold, continuous rain, dark nights plus their are no jobs here either.

How about getting up to Courmayeur/Chamonix/Morzine and work a ski season - might be just in time.

Hard work, but fun... better than being back in the UK. Bar work, chalet, driver, all in seasonal demand?
Great scenery, odd day off for skiing, some cash in hand.

Of what little I've seen, Italian women can be pretty awesome. High maintenance though. Try your luck with some local hotties?

Oh indeed! They are all incredibly pretty, though, er, aloof shall we say.
