A mate of mine has just told a story to a few of us, that I thought I’d repeat here…

A woman friend of a friend (middle aged) has arranged to visit London to house-sit/dog-sit for a couple who have gone on holiday and who didn’t want to put their dog into a kennel for 2 weeks. A labrabor or similar sized mutt is involved.

A couple of days pass by and the dog snuffs it overnight.

Not wanting to disturb the holidaying couple and possibly ruining their break, the house-sitter finds the name of their Vet and gives him a call about what to do.

The Vet obviously says that there is nothing he can do, but offers to keep the dog (presumably in the fridge) until the owners get back from the holiday, so that they can at least have the opportunity to see the animal for the last time. The Vet asks the woman to bring the dog into his Practice.

The woman agrees to take the dog to the Vet’s but forgets the fact that she hasn't got her car. Not being the sharpest tool in the box, she decides to take the tube and searches round the house to find something that is large enough to get the dog into. She eventually finds a sturdy suitcase that the couple haven’t taken on holiday, so she wraps the pooch in a blanket and stuffs it into the bag.

With a now heavy suitcase she struggles to the local tube station.

Confused by barriers, escalators and a large heavy bag, she is assisted by a younger and helpful passer-by, who offers to help carry the bag to the train.

On picking up the heavy bag the guy asks her what's in it. Not wanting to disclose the fact that there is a dead dog in the bag, she tells the youngster that she is moving house and the bag has some personal things that she doesn’t trust the removers with. A DVD player, Lap top Etc

At the next station the Good Samaritan fks off with the bag…..
