Radio Controlled Ride In Cars. (Xmas Gift)
Discussion
Although the Baby Curn can not yet fully talk, she can already point out different makes of cars, so it would appear, despite her mothers best efforts to stop it happening, she is heading in the right direction.
To this end, I think that an electric ride on car for Christmas can only improve things yet further.
As she is still too young to fully grasp the concept of steering / and or pedal use, I have been looking at models with a radio control unit for parents to override the child's inputs should disaster be imminent.
Before I commit to buying one of these from some random company based on the interweb;
Does anyone have one of these?
Is there anything to look out for?
Any company / model recommendations?
Not really sure where this should be posted so thought I'd try the lounge.

You didn't flog my old man one (for my nephew) did you Maser? It turned up with a whacking crack and you/they said he could just keep it. (Delivery to Wilmslow)
If so, good effort.
Sounds like us.If so, good effort.

Bloomin' heavy handed couriers....
Unlucky to get one with a crack though, I think that's only ever happened three or four times?
In this instance, we would normally dispatch a new one, and let the customer keep the first one for spares (battery, wheels, remote, aerial, steering wheel etc. are all serviceable).
Better to take the hit on it and have a happy customer than make things difficult!
Hope they like it (and if not, keep quiet about it

Maser - what age is this suitable from? I have a 3 year old and an 18month old. Is it suitable for the younger one? Or should I wait until the summer/next Xmas?
Hey,The big truck is for a little older only because it's more powerful (and a bit faster on full beans than the others).
Instruction manual will say from 3 years, but that's assuming your leaving the child on their own to play.
If fully supervised, you can use these with 18 months upwards with the remote. Most models have a seat belt, so strap the little one in, and drive them around with the remote.
I'm a big kid, but it is ridiculously good fun....
In your instance, the 2 seater one is great as you could fit both kids in the same truck. Then either older one can drive around younger one (2 seats), or older on his own, or younger one with you driving on the remote.
HTH!

Hellooooooo!

Glad I could help out with this, Curn is coming to pick up one of these bad boys;

12V, twin motors, remote control, opening bonnet (with batteries inside), two speed, lights, sounds, etc.
See you Wednesday!
I saw one of those in the States a couple of years back. It had lights, headunit with radio, the lot!

maser_spyder do you have a website? The jeep looks fab, our daughter would love that.
Hey!Yet another shameless plug on this forum for;
www.rideoncars.co.uk
We've got red, blue and yellow trucks in stock and shipping immediately.
If anybody's looking for one of these cars on a serious budget and can make it to Cheltenham, I've got a load of samples in the office from various factories that could be bought for a song. We could do with the space! Drop me a pm, I can't do any better prices than the website for our normal stock, but the samples will be dirt cheap. Sorry, but our 2 seater truck sample model was sold ages ago!
