Elements are pretty simple, just keep adding bits to get the next one.
So far they've identified 117, with number 117 having a grand total of 3 atoms being recorded, and maybe a 4th, but no one is quite sure.

If they find a way of sticking another one on, we'll have element 118...

I'm pretty sure that most naturally occuring elements are present on Earth. Helium was discovered in the Sun, before it was found on Earth though, although it does occur here (we are running out though).

Vaguely interesting topic, but how is this to do with cars exactly?

It is a roundabout way to start a thread about the Honda Element, possibly.

Helium is created as the result of emmission of a Alfa (sorry Alpha smile ) particle by Radioactive decay as such it is mined from the same mines you get your Uranium etc. We are never going to run out but demand may easily exceed supply.

The element Metallicum was discovered a few years ago. Its particles move quickly and in a way which is sometimes described as demonic motion.

Metallicum is the heaviest of all metals, with Mass number: 13 and Atomic number: 666

It's also known as the hair metal. Sad but true.
