From The Telegraph:
"A man who paraded alongside army veterans wearing an “impossible” array of medals has been arrested...sparked anger...when parading alongside 600 veterans wearing a beige SAS beret and a selection of 21 military medals and badges...medals stretching from the Korean War in the 1950s to the liberation of Kuwait in the 1990s...served just 14 months in the army before dropping out and had not gone on a tour of duty...“pure fantasy”...no record of him having been awarded a medal or serving a tour of duty.
He had the rank of private despite claiming he was a lieutenant on his membership form to the Hinckley ex-Serviceman’s Club, from which he may now be banned."
"We're not going to take you out and shoot you, but I'm afraid you may be banned from the ex-Serviceman's Club."

He follows a proud tradition of 'Walts'
Reminds me of probably an even more infamous member (if not so many medals): http://www.arrse.co.uk/wiki/Mike_Golden
Worth reading as hugely entertaining and ultimately exposed as a complete Walt w
ker (The letter signed by 'General Sir Mike Jackson' is priceless).
