Lots of threads on here about dieing and tragedy at the moment. We all die one day and think this aspect of life is glossed over in real life, Swept under the carpet kind of thing. i guess we all like to think we die in bed fast asleep without pain. Being of a certain age i see this is not the case
The process of dying in a hospital is not very pretty. Stopping overnight in a death ward is pretty annoying when the choking guy in the next bed is gasping for breath and keeping u awake. Things become more clearer next morning when screens are put up around his bed and family gather around the bedside waiting for him to die

In most large organisations, yes. You can spot them by the tell-tale ponytail and unwashed fleece.

And keys. Lots of keys, usually on a chain hanging from their belt-loops.

I hope people don't get swept under the carpet when they die. Some of the houses I clean are bad enough as it is without having to deal with that!

Only on PH can go from dyeing, death, virgins, IT, and carpet cleaning all in one swoop!

Besides, you guys are describing engineers - complete with beards and dodgy jumpers. smile

A former neighbour of ours had a pretty good death (if any death can be good).

He was well into his 80s, had a nice Christmas with his family, and conked out in his favourite chair on Boxing Day.

Yep, it is unlikely. And even so, the journey to the dying in bed is full of pain and anxiety leading up to the day because you're likely to be suffering from other things anyway eg chemo post-cancer, UTI, hip fractures. We're not built to last.

This is my nomination for post of the year.

It's got the lot, ste spelling, poor grammar and shoddy punctuation to boot. It's a rambling morbid mess that starts nowhere, asks nothing and then stops.

The clincher for me is the time it was posted, If anyone knows the O.P. please ring him/her and make sure they're not 'dyeing in a hospital'.

Merry Christmas.

Three different versions of the same word in the title and first post! (Or should we be sounding the last post?)
