"Fine!"...

Is it wrong to reply, "Good, good!" and smile?

How did you guess it was a woman? wink

I just feel that if they say "fine", then either they ought to mean what they say or learn to communicate more clearly.

...oh dear.....the word "fine" has so many bad meanings....and even when it is do with is British weather it normally ain't that good....but from the lips of a woman it is nigh on chilling.....or worse.

A friend of mine once replied "Fine" to his mother when being asked to do something. She wasn't impressed, as her response of "Don't you say bks to me" accompanied by a good clout round the head illustrated. Bit embarassing when 16 and in front of all your mates...
