Just been to the bank for change & got five pounds worth of ten pences, have noticed one has no date!
Would this be of any value, as the undated twenty pences were?

...the value of certain coins can be more than the stated cost on the actual coin, particularly where no date has been printed. It is believed that only three 10p piece coins have ever been printed in the UK and as a result, the value of these coins could run into thousands of pounds due to the rarity. The most expensive 'misprint' coin sold at an auction in 2003 for £7,200. This record has stood for six years and experts predict that should one of the three 10p pieces surface, it could challenge to spot..

Thats brilliant! You'd win your outlayout back in next to no time (maybe a year or three). Think how many heads or tails coin tosses you'd win!

...as long as the other player called tails...

...this isnt going to work really is it?

Very useful info there! This one is brand new with the 2 lions on the back, others in the bag of same design, dated 2009.

But the Royal Mint could decide to print all new coins with no date.

How, other than by certain of mankinds members' obvious stupidity, can such a thing have any extra worth given this option exists ?

Becasue that isn't the case at the moment, and things tend to be sold st todays value, not at a future value.
