Are Beavers eager?
Discussion
'Eager' was the name of a famous performing beaver in a circus in the 1900's.
I remember reading somewhere that he was one of the first 'tame' beavers and used to jump over barrels and climb see-saws with quite a lot of enthusiasm.
His trainer took to calling him 'Eager' and the name stuck.
Due to the rarity of seeing a beaver act in this way, he became quite famous and the term 'Eager beaver' developed from that.

Is Mustard keen ? And no, I have unfortunately never met a Larry who is indeed happy.
The phrase 'as keen as mustard' is known from 1672, the century before the company was formed in 1742. The caption on the accompanying image is probably too small to read online, but says [Keen's Mustard] "First manufactured in the reign of George 2nd AD 1742."M3CHA-MONK3Y said:
