My wife advertised a carpet (I've no idea why but there you go - anything for a quiet life)

Axminster - diamonds - colours - good condition, you get the picture. I think she thought it was just too good for the tip.

Anyway, we have had 3 calls so far. 2 old women and 1 old bloke asking lots of questions about it. I'm humouring them but I have a load of other things on the go at the minute.

So at the end of each conversation each of them have said "Sounds nice but I am in <Anytown> - about 5-10 miles away> and I haven't got any transport".

One even asked if I coudl take it to her. We've both fallen about laughing at the end of each call.

laugh

I'm looking forward to more merryment this evening.

Thanks for sharing.

Agreed, it can be funny at times - a bit cheeky to expect a free delivery aswell, i suppose.

Doubt whether anyone younger gets to read those free ads.

Same happens on Freegle. People have started posting "Collect only, need a big car." etc.
