Eden Centre High Wycome Parking
Discussion
I nipped into the Eden Centre this evening at around half 8 to pick up a few bits and bobs. Anyway, left at 9:15 thinking I would have to find a bloody pound coin and as I had none, have to pay with a £20 note got a pleasant surprise when it told me my parking was free.
Just a heads up if you're needing something in the evenings etc.
Cheers

Cheers for the heads up! If you go to Cineworld, watch a film and afterwards ask a member of staff for your ticket to be scanned, parking is free
I got my ticket validated and had to pay a pound to leave!
Just drive to the barrier and put the ticket in ... It's free! As far as I know it was free only for the one evening. See www.bucksfreepress.co.uk

Parking and High Wycombe. These are words I would not use together.
Grew up and lived near Aylesbury for 20 odd years. Had to go to Wycombe quite regularly, glad I don't now!!
not sure why, parking isn't a problem in WycombeGrew up and lived near Aylesbury for 20 odd years. Had to go to Wycombe quite regularly, glad I don't now!!

The cinema in wycombe will knock 50p off the ticket price, so its usually £1 instead of £1.50 (unless a long film). But if you go to them more than once, the discount will keep coming off (keep this quite!).
Wycombe for shopping has become very good. Ample parking, a good range of shops/supermarkets (massive sainsburys just opened). I prefer it over MK (full of crap shops) or Oxford (full of tourists stopping all the time). A good range of places to eat.
Aylesbury is still full of hoodies in the shopping centre, and the other parts don't have much to be desired. Cheap shops and cheaper shopping centre.
Can't believe The Moose lives near me.

I live in Wycombe and I think Bedford Rascal is being kind! Sure there's been alot of investment - Eden, the theatre, the pseudo-university - still doesn't detract from the inordinately high quota of chavs that live there. I hope there isn't too much snow tonight, I'm looking at houses tomorrow!

During the weekday daytime all you see in the town centre of HW are older people, the obviously unemployed(able) with their snot ridden offspring, and oiks. It's like a scene from a futuristic disaster film.Wycombe is no different to other towns a similar size. They all have too many chavs, too many minority enclaves, too many ugly buildings.
It has some great architecture along the High Street if you look above all the pound stores - lots of old stuff. Did you know the church in the centre of Wycombe is over 1,000 years old? It also has a great rail link - pay 50% less for your house AND get a seat on the train into London in the morning, unlike Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross rail users.

I agree ... As with all large towns, there are the more desirable parts and less desirable parts. It's important to do you research and have knowledge on the areas if you're looking to buy a house in Wycombe.I'm a first time buyer and have bought a place in Wycombe - Moving in very soon!
To be honest it was the only place that was financially viable and close to my workplace. I paid a small premium and I have only one bedroom, but I've secured a really nice apartment in one of the best locations in Wycombe

True and out of the local towns of Slough, Bracknell, Reading, Aylesbury, Watford and Uxbridge, Wycombe doesn't look too bad.It has some great architecture along the High Street if you look above all the pound stores - lots of old stuff.
