Anybody been stabbed or shot ?

Just interested as we are supposedly in such a violent world.

Apart from general brawls when growing up, I have been shot twice with air guns so I wouldn't class that as having been properly shot. But has anybody on here been on the receiving end of some serious violence ?

I had a gun pulled out on me in S.t Lucia a few years ago but never shot so just a few plain old punch ups for me.

Shot by a farmer using rock salt cartridges in his 12 bore the git.

I was shot at twice whilst making a delivery in the Ladywood and Nechells area of Birmingham (no surprise really)

Had a french chap try to mug me by threatening to stab me in Carcassonne, he didn't succeed

Was threatened with a knife at the pub I used to work at in the West Mids but luckily our doorman was behind him when he decided to threaten me (for not serving him) and disarmed him

Was threatened by a gunman in the same pub.....police told us they would not be able to come for another few hours because they had no firearms teams available so we took him down ourselves


However luckily *touch wood*, not yet had any "penetration" (have fun with that one )

I was stabbed in the left cheek...unfortunately it was my fault as I fell with a steak knife in my hand. Funny looking back, but I could have easily lost an eye.

Lost a front tooth to a nice uppercut some years back but that was my own fault for not moving quickly enough (got it wrong in a Jui-Jitsu gradng).

I got shot with a dart from some tt passing by in a car - my very own drive by shooting.

To be fair, it fking hurt. Dart stuck in my chest.

The other was a pellet that stuck in my eyebrow, literally within a few mil of going in my eye. That was from a friend. Really lucky it missed my eye.

My dad used to use gravel, a can of compressed air and plastic tubing....Reason, he owned a pet shop in a rough area of the city and often got truble from the local 'gang'. You should have seen them run

yep been stabbed, twice in the back and once in the chest plus got sliced under the arm in the same pub fight.

Glassed?.. well... I did once have someone hit me over the head with a bottle, fortunately the idiot hadn't smashed it first though so it was a bit of a daft move really.

I opted out of using that as an option as it isn't common. There's only you and the closest to that was Alan Partridge being hit by a falling cow.

The pub incidents were in the Stourbridge area, it surprised us too as it was the nice part and in general, the clientel were quite "posh".

The shootings took place near to the rougher parts of Ladywood / Nechells

I do make the West Mids sound bad don't I?
