Do a certain company -whose name rhymes with "sh!tty brink"- actively employ total mentalists?

I'm sat in my lounge- heard someone walk down the steps and the letterbox go- no doorbell ring- walked out to see a card- ran out to see the van drive off- only to look at the card to see as I'm not in the box has been left with flat 6.

WTF? I guess it beats the several times they claim to have tried to deliver and never showed at all, or the times I've driven to the depot on the promise they'll have the parcel to collect to find they don't have it, does anyone else find this company consistently useless?

oh yes once had a parcell delivered to my house, letter through door to say I wasn't in so would have to collect from Depot - was true I wasn't in, this isn't my grumble.

I rang on the morning of collection to make sure they were open as I was coming over to collect it as I live 45 mins away from the place.

Arrived at Depot (and its a BIG fking Depot too), went in, man behind counter.

Me: "do you have this parcel?" (hands him cars with number on)
Turd: "I will go and have a check"
Me: "thanks"

Turd trundles off

10 mins later he arrives

Turd: "I'm sorry the computers are down"
Me: "What? I rang earlier to ask if you were open"
Turd: "they have been down all morning, they won't be up and running till monday" (this was a friday afternoon)
Me: "why did your people tell me you were open to collect then?"
Turd: "I dunno, you'll have to come back next week"

fking cocksprocket.

Had a rather frustrating experience with EdFex today, I was promised delivery of a VIP package from America which was sent out Wednesday, it arrived at Stansted last night and they rang up for duties payment this morning at 1030, all good but then they informed me they could not deliver it until Monday. What?!

This package was specifically due to arrive this evening, hence the priority shipment, if they knew the package would arrive late last night and not clear customs in time the shipment should never have been allowed to be guarunteed.

Of course, trying to claim the money back is impossible as the use the caveat of customs clearnace to wiggle their way out of it.

wkers.

Cool. just got home to find another courier has left a christmas tree in our front garden. Addressed to number 2, at the other end of the street. We're flat 2, xxxxx rolleyes

Okay I know these guys are busy right now and probably under near-impossible deadlines and thats without the weather, but at least try to make an effort.

And don't get me started on the mail, they might as well dump it all at number 1 then we all go over and sort our own out.

Used to do that to us a few years ago - delivery is due, muppet leaves parcel/s in the shed, shoves leaflet through the letterbox and he's off. Never bothered to knock on the door (assuming no-one is in the house).
