I have never been a church goer but it is an interesting one so I thought I would google the numbers.
Here's something from the Telegraph earlier this year.

Christmas church attendance has fallen by 11 per cent in a year, new figures show.
Statistics published by the Church of England disclose that 2.66million people went to services on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day in 2007, down from 2.99m the previous year.

I put never - but the only time is for funeral related stuff. I see that as a 'thing' that happens to take place in a building which is a church.
Nother whatsoever against the Churchies though, seem like a nice bunch whenever I come across them, just not for me at this time in life. If people want to get together and have a sing song - great.
Also approve of them because generally in villages where you find a church, you find a good village pub.
ETA - as with Mr Nuts above I do wedding related stuff as well.

I was bought up CoE and was even confirmed, strange thing being that it was my confirmation class, which was designed to increase my understanding of the faith, that caused me to examine it and then obviously reject the Christian faith.
Fair play though, Christianity did a pretty good job of maintaining an oblique fear based taxation system for a couple of centuries. It's lucky for most current governments that MMGW rocked up when it did or we might have had to revert to a more transparent system of taxing and spending.

I don't worship an imaginary friend in the sky, although I respect the choice of those who do, despite it being the 21st century and not the middle ages anymore.
I particularly like the hypocrisy of those grown adults who 'aren't religious', yet go once or twice a year and bow their heads, pray, then mime along to the hymns like some kind of socially-conditioned sheep. You're not at primary school anymore...
