I'm sat in the office here and there's only a couple more people in. We're all contractors as well - the joy of a daily rate! hehe

I'm the only one in the office today...I represent 20% of the workforce though.

Yep, but it never fails to amase me how easily dettered people are by a couple of inches of snow.

MAximum respect for the chap at the Hambrook lights this morning in the Griff though, barley off tickover & was fighting with opposite lock just to keep the old girl going straight. Hope he got to his destination safely.

My site is like a ghost town. tumbleweed

3 lads with the piling rig.

7 ground workers.

2 of us in the office.

There is supposed to be 50 people here. Wonder why I bother sometimes.

I'm walking in to town and going shopping in a minute.

I stopped my missus even attempting it this morning.
No attempt made to grit the road.
4 inches of snow on it.
Steep downhill with a 90 degree left hand turn at the bottom.
Cars double parked all the way down.
About an 18 inch margin for error.

Not a chance.

100% turnout in my office, and my son too so we're overstaffed.

He's doing a great job of distracting everyone at the moment, discussing the merits of the spore computer game with the sales people.

I've even got a "proper" meeting with a sub-contractor today too!

This is a wind down week for us as we know there arean't going to be too many orders placed this week but we're finishing the manufacture of a few urgent jobs that need to be delivered before the 25th.

I left the house later than normal this morning and there was next to no traffic on the roads.

Nope, but then i was never meant to. Would I have gone in if I was working today? Yes, probably on foot though as the Caterham dislikes the cold hehe

Full house here. But then the worst we had to contend with was black ice on the back roads...

Full house here. Normal time arrivals all round. It is VERY quiet though.

Today I shall mainly be planning how early I can get to the pub.

I have no excuse, cos I work from home.

Other half made it in to his work this morning, and about 6.30 there was a couple of them wondering if they should go home, but it seems they have enough to do to keep busy (lots of demand for pop/water/squash at this time of year.

His mum made it to our house last night, and she is still in two minds about attempting to get to her work.

Yep. Just about made it across the hall at 7.30am!

Got the children up, made breakfast and now they are occupied wrapping presents (never seen so much paper used for one box of chocolates) while I have a coffee and wonder if it's worth looking through the zillion pages of 'TVR Vixen' saga!

'Madam' is due in at Newquay airport later this afternoon so I will actuall have to go out and brave the cold, pack the youngsters into the RR and collect her.

Hard life eh? smile

No problems here, would have been in the office on Friday too had I not booked it off, strangely FCC's trains were running fine.

Was -5.6 when I got up, would have been much nicer to stay in bed.
