Has anyone had a book published?
Discussion
How did you go about it?
I have an idea for a sort of "....for dummies" book. I already have a couple of very techie publications with a technical publisher (the sort that sell 50 copies a year) but this one will be a bit more mainstream and I don't think my existing techie publishers will dirty their inky hands with such nonesense.
So, how to go about it?
I'm pretty sure you have to contact the '...for dummies' publishers, who are Wiley Publishing Inc.
I've got AutoCAD for Dummies and the authors foreword says that he started on the AutoCAD line of these books after being invited to contribute. I guess you have to be a recognised figurehead of your trade.
Maybe drop them an email, www.wiley.com

It might be a bit too niche for 'Dummies' as it is a self help book for people with a particular problem.I've got AutoCAD for Dummies and the authors foreword says that he started on the AutoCAD line of these books after being invited to contribute.
