Having spent the majority of our lives working damn hard and rewarding ourselves with the finer things in life, two years ago we decided enough was enough and cashed in our chips for an easier life in a climate where we could actualy enjoy the extra time, it has been fantastic to say the least and given us alot of time to reflect and talk about where our lives will take us next....

....two years have now passed & we are both feeling like we would like to give something back, some kind of voluntary work helping animals or people, in foreign climes ideally, rescuing animals, building damns, creating water supplies, roads, bridges that sort of thing.

Question is, has anybody got any ideas of any organisations that requite skilled volunteers on this basis? I have not a clue as to where to start confused

(have kept it short as other peoples quests can come across a little boring and sanctimonious sometimes smile )

Bear in mind that it's your education that it most sought after, ie your transferable skills..possibly the ones you wanted to leave behind.

Labour is something in plentiful supply in most places, that's not what is required.

ETA of course, that may be exactly what you're after.
