You know those things you hear of others doing and think "what a tard! It's only a phone call, FFS!" Today I join their ranks.
Whilst at uni, I've been renting out my flat which has just about been covering the mortgage whilst away. My tennant, who had previously signed up for another 6 months changed his mind and left, giving the appropriate notice. I came back from uni on Saturday but, pissed off with a delayed mammoth train journey, stayed at my parents place over the weekend getting drunk and making merry, instead of going home. On sunday (59 days after the tennant moved out), whilst I was regailing tales of my year and the things I'd make sure I'd do this year, a pipe burst in my attic, drenching my flat and that below.
Apologies in advance if this post reeks of full-blown paranoia, but I currently have ~ £-400 in the world and can only think negatively ATM.
I would definitely delete all of this before you attempt insurance fraud.Whilst at uni, I've been renting out my flat which has just about been covering the mortgage whilst away.
