Santa is currently checking his list, but should be setting off soon.. Quite cool to track him through the day, especially if you have little ones about the house

Apologies if a repost.

He ain'ty setting off this year. Failed CRB checks and the police were a bit suspect of a fat drunk man going down houses chimneys with toys for kids and a big sack.

The story behind is one of the better things that came out of the cold war times.

He must move pretty fast to get down every chimney in Europe in one night. I wonder how many nano seconds he allows for each visit?

He appears to be taller than the hoop.

Santa Claus is infact, Andre the Giant.

You learn something new every day.

Simple, just tell her that Santa doesn't exist and it's just a computer game biggrin

BTW I'm not a parent but they have to learn sometime so you may as well get it over with... same for god and tooth fairy I'm afraid.

hehe

Just been through that with my little lad (3).

Coming home fgrom friends the other day he enquired as to how you can get to tyhe North Pole (we've been doing geography together and he loves maps now).

I was a bit taken a back by this question coming out of the blue, but I told him 'Well really you need an aeroplane, or possibly a ship, but it's a long way away and would take ages to get there'.

He then pipes up with 'Well how is Owen getting there with his mum?' - 'What do you mean? Owen and his mum aren't going to the North Pole!' I said.

'Yes they are.' he insisted, 'They've gone to see Santa!'

Ahh bks I thought.

I hate lying to the little fella, and so made up something about 'They're probably just going to see one of his helpers.', but by heck I was close to telling him the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I still struggle to find reason in why we (as a society) fill kids heads with so much crap, when all that 'brain-space' could be used up learning about engines.
