Just when the thaw was finishing off, at least a few more people will have learnt how to drive on snow/ice!

Despite the sensationalist headline, the general agreement is that next week is going to be cold. And with cold, comes snow!

just been for a walk and was discussing the fact that its about time we had a proper winter. still loads of ice and snow around, and cold temps with blue skies. its irritating that our country needs to be so worried about it all though.

if the cold is here to stay, i for one am looking forward to it. 8 degress and loadsa rain, or 0 degrees and blue skies and ice?? hmmmm.....

It's funny isn't it? We moan when it doesn't snow as it's not Wintery enough. Then it snows and for that first morning, when it's completely untouched and not been vandalised by hordes of kids, we love the stuff. After the first 24 hours we hate it again and wish it never snowed!

You've used a shovel and buried your car haven't you? wink

Noticed you are in Norway, glad I'm not there if that's how bad it is!

Ahh, to be fair it's not that dramatic.

It's really up to the centre caps on the wheels, everything above that is dumped by the passing snow ploughs.

It is snowing here just now.
Quite heavily in fact.
Hmm, I need to head out for some work soon.

I'll have a go at digging it out tomorrow, if it doesn't totally vanish.

In the absence of a vehicle I went for a walk this afternoon :

Anyone got this snow yet? P!ssing it down with rain/sleet in Reading (this is how 'white Monday' started...).

I believe South/Mid Wales is due to get the worst of it.

Severe weather warnings for SW Scotland, NW England, Midlands and S Wales. I'm leaving for work
shortly, my journey being SW Scotland thru NW England, Midlands to S Wales...should be fun!
Still got 3-4 inches in driveway before I even start.

Remember, if it does not snow in the south east the TV does not bother to report it.
It only becomes a 'major' news story if it effects anyone within the M25.

Even local news is useless.

BTW: sneijder how does Norway deal with these conditions? I presume roads are always gritted or does everyone just get on with it?
And what about the rail service?
