Im sick of literally wearing a pair of socks out every 2 weeks, i have wear safety boots all day at work, so, men of PH, can you suggest a pair that will stand up to more than a couple of weeks of wear?

I must not have manly feet, because I've never found that safety boots ruin my socks.

Bridgedales. I've got pairs that are years old and still going strong.

Sounds like you need an "outdoor" shop that supplies mountaineers, hikers etc.

Yep Bridgedale are your best bet for longevity IME.

Avoid Smartwool, Teko etc and any others based on merino wool. Great for hillwalkers etc but if you wear them every day you'll go through them in a week or so.

I sell socks.

Most are truly awful Chinese/Eastern European rubbish but they sell well because everyone wants a bargain multipack. The 'rugged look' ones will last 1 to 3 months. Nearly everyone buys cheap crap socks, they won't be talked into nicer stuff.

I also sell 'NZ Sock Company' socks, they're 8 quid a pair, comfy, incredibly hard wearing and just brilliant. 'Merinotec' for Summer, 'Superfleece' chunky 80% wool for winter. They last about 2 years with hard use.

Bridgedale?
I used to live next to the factory and knew their sock technologist, at that stage it was thought that 80% of the socks that made it to the top of Everest were made by Bridgedale. They are truly epic socks.
Don't look at the price, swallow hard and buy 'em.

One pair I had lasted neraly 6 years and were worn weekly.

Try some 'Endurance Trail or 'Endurance Trekker' from Bridgedale, you'll never go back.

In tesco they have socks specifically for those who have to wear steel toe capped boots. Have you tried them?

I spotted them when shopping for extra thick socks for father in law who likes fishing, I thought it was a strange sock to make but may be not! Sorry but I have no idea if they are actually any good.
