ETA : reasoning behind it... i could say it infront of my folks and not get smacked down like a sack of spuds. wheras i could not get away with saying "Oh st!" "Oh fk" etc

It's a secret sign to let everyone know you're actually really well bred, but just having a laugh with people. You put it out there, see if anyone says 'Oh my days' back. A bit like bluejacking. Or dogging.

From what I recall, it gained mass awareness through the show "Big Brother" many moons ago, shortly after it was adopted by the youth of this fair country & gradually over time has sifted through the each generation of teenagers.

I'm surprised it's still in us...I was under the impression it had been substituted for "Das Sik Blud" & "Iz it?"

...I think, correct me if I'm wrong through! scratchchin

I first heard it said by some twunt on Big Brother. He was a cockney toss-pot. At the time I thought 'You've just made that up' as it doesn't even make sense.

Is that akin to the way some say 'Aldi' instead of 'Lidl'?

I may have that the wrong way round, but what care I for the underclass?

My son says it.Constantly.When on his Xbox.I'd rather him say "Oh,scensoredt.," or just keep his mouth shut. One of these 'days',his Xbox will go through the window.

I prefer Christopher Columbus; or just 'Oh Christopher' if said in anger. I have two directorships and do not mince my words!

I have never heard of either of those? Are they near Waitrose? My butler frequents there and he has seen some of the underclass types.
