and went treasure hunting ? Anybody remember him ?

I think he was a bit of a photographer who went travelling and last I saw of him he was going off into the jungle with a shovel to find treasure.

I haven't started on the NYE drink yet - honest.

No, can't remember his name exactly.

Just got this picture (that he posted) of him wandering off into the rain forest to dig for buried treasure. Quite well known at the time (on PH). Defo went to South America for a long trip. Amatuer photographer.

IIRC he started the thread at the same time as the guy with the bunker.

One of the first replies was why are you copying him you attention seeker so I think it put him off.

I thought he actually lived there, wasnt it some kind of tropical island?

We might be thinking two different threads.

I distinctly remember a picture of a guys boot as he walked off into the jungle with a machette.

I remember posting along the lines of ignor him I would like to see your pictures keep us updated etc etc.

I thought he was on an island though Grenada, dominique somwhere like that.

Twas me!

No, not found it yet. Have made five or six trips and have narrowed down the location considerably. Treasure hunting season starts again in a few weeks as we are coming into the dry season. To get to the area you need to wade for several miles up a jungle river, occasionally chest-deep, and when it rains the river flash-floods and it gets a bit tricky to ascend. Will update soon.

Are you going to update the other thread?

Looks like a really cool schoolboy type of adventure. Can I have a go?
