Lost my Dad today
Discussion
After a long and very dignified fight against cancer, my Dad finally succumbed early this morning
Even though we knew it was coming I'm totally numb as he was such an inspiration to me (and many others) and it was typical of his character to get through Christmas Day. Just needed to get it off my chest - RIP Red.

Sorry to hear of your loss CobolMan. Remember the good times.

Thoughts and prayers are with you.
I'm really sorry mate, lost my dad to cancer 9 weeks ago tomorrow and it still doesn't seem real. 12 weeks ago, none of us even knew he had cancer so it's been a hell of a whirlwind. Times like this, families come together to draw support from each other.
All I can say is don't be too hard on yourself if you don't react or feel like you think you should be doing. I've had quite a bit of guilt that I have not broken down into pieces since he died.
