There's a fat pigeon sitting outside our front door, must be injured. Not sure what to do with it apart from maybe turning it into a pie (missus didn't like that idea). Shall I just leave it there for a cat or maybe put it in a hedge somewhere?

We had a pigeon fall down the chimney a few days ago, was quite funny calling the RSPCA for advice whilst my uncle was coo'ing in the background and the rest of us were loudly discussing recipes for pigeon hehe

Roasted with rosemary/goose fat potatoes and spicy red cabbage. I take it the pigeon is a wood pigeon and not a manky urban one?

Personally I'd either take a shovel to its head or call a wildlife group, but then again if you've finished off the turkey and fancy a snack there seem to be plenty of recipe suggestions floating around!

It'll be a feral rather than a woodie. Flying rat, don't eat it, don't even touch it unless you have to, just boot it into a better place.

Compassion is my strong point.

ETA, not joking about the don't eat it, it may have been poisoned.

Pigeon breast with red wine gravy, roast leeks and wild mushrooms, sound lovely - assuming it's a nice wood pigeon and not a city sky rat.
