Do ants eat soap?

The reason I ask is that hundreds of the little buggers have tunneled their way into my apartment, bypassing the kitchen and food and ended up in my bathroom, where they are swarming around (and in) the sink. Google was no help so I thought I'd turn to the collected intellect of PH.

How long before this gets moved to the "Food, Drink & Restaurants" forum?
