These are a good start but I can think of many more. I appreciate the language's ability to be adapted to what is required for the moment, but enough is enough:

What about "I was like"?

There is already a perfectly good phrase for that, and it's shorter.

"I SAID"!

Jim, can you please stop your American bretheren from using words or phrases like 'My bad', "what up?" and 'it's all good'. I mean WTF? smash Idiots! Does my head in!
This seems to be spreading from the Baggy-trouser-brigade Ghetto tts to normal people.

Yeah, dude. wink
Can we also ban the overused word of last year 'Chav'. It seems every car, shop, TV or indeed anything is deemed to be this.

Exactly, it is coming from that sector. I try but have yet to find a solution....more to come.

It is at least hopeful that the instigator of this list is an American university. smile

That's the problem - if they're saying 'I was like' they are telling you what they'd like to have said to the other person...

`Challenge` instead of problem.
`Inappropriate` as in `I have more authority than you, so I can discount your opinion or action, so shut up.

One thing I would like to ban is every TV contestant on one of these reality things describing it as "a journey", it gets on my nerves every time.

"We say Obamanough already"...

Couldn't agree more.

My nomination is...

Yarp

I mean what the fcensoredk?

The internet is just like a school playground, my kids come home saying new words all the time, to see adults copying it on the net is just pathetic.
