Cycle on a tredmill
Discussion
As myself and fellow work colleague / Ph'er are sat here at work, discussing cycle to work schemes and new bikes.
With this weather a new bike isn't even worth looking for at the moment. Then that thought popped into our heads, drop it onto a treadmill?!
The big question is, will you be able totake off.. no wait a minute stay upright?

Not quite a treadmill, but rollers are a similar sort of thing:

Back in the day before I became lazy/got company car, I used to be into mountain bikes in an expensive way.
I had a set of turbo-trainer rollers that the back wheel sat on, then you just sit on the bike and pedal. It was great for bad weatehr training, but the downside is that there is is no airflow, and the sweat that drips from the upper body onto the bike frame is unreal. Nor did I realise that sweat was so damaging to a polished aluminium frame.

ever heard of a pedestal fan and a towel?I had a set of turbo-trainer rollers that the back wheel sat on, then you just sit on the bike and pedal. mount fan in front of you switch to level 3, and drape towel over frame.
Simples.
Right now just opening the window in the gym at home is cool enough to turbo train comfortably
