Hi Guys/Gals

Just doing a bit of research into yell.com searches - when you are looking for a service on Yell, for location do you generally type in your home town/city/county or do you type in your postcode.

Yell has offered our business a premium position based on postcode searches for a particular county and for all I personally always put in a postcode I was curious what other people do.

Just an answer such as "postcode" or "town/city" will suffice!

Cheers!

Bob

Don't use yell.com personally, i'm afraid. Normally go by the town name rather than postcode on google searches etc.

Town. Is this for a "Local Sponsored Listing"?

I always put in the town, seems the logical thing to do.

In before the move, BTW

Another for never use it.

I'd rather be on googlemaps properly (ie correct phone number, photo, etc) these days.

FWIW i have found that very few enquiries for my business come through Yell.com even with a premium position. Most people use Google for better or worse these days.

Agreed.

I never use Yell for anything.

I've never searched by postcode, but can see why it would make sense for certain things.

I use my work postcode, it's close enough.
