So its a bit pearl harbour outside, is there anything interesting I can use the cold weather for?

I have already measured the temp at the bottom of the pond - around 4deg.

I have also put salt on ice to see how cold I could get it.

Any other experiments I could play with?

What? warships sinking and wave after wave of Zeros dive bombing your fish pond with no advanced warning??? yikes

Go and measure the specific gravity of the coolant in your car and report back. Do the same for the washer bottle and calculate the amount of anti freezing mix that needs to be added to the washer bottle (in ml) to arrive at the same specific gravity. wink

I have a good experiment that involves using a shovel and stopwatch to see how long it takes you to clear my driveway...

Apparently, if you stick your Michael Johnson in a steel pipe whilst the pipe is covered in snow, it gets so big it will not come out of the pipe thus making you hung like a racehorse.
