Following on from the 2 best wellies threads.

I have an old leather Land Rover Bush Hat which is in good condition but i've always found it a little bit on the snug side. I'm thinking of buying a new one and i'm someone on PH must have one.

So can anyone tell me which one is best?

I've been looking at the Drizabone's and the Toggi's Leather versions at the moment, are there any others I should be looking at instead.

Not sure if i'll get a reply but I thought it worth a punt.

I have had an Akubra ever since I went to Oz, many years ago...

Keep you dry in the wet (including stopping rain getting down your neck or on your glasses), keeps the sun off your head, neck and face when it's hot and can be used as an impromptu dog's water bowl if necessary on a long walk smile

Wouldn't be without one now (and I wouldn't be recognised by anyone at dog-shows either)

I'd like something like this too. Any online sources?

I've got a Drizabone (mainly because my Wife's shop used to sell them and I got it for free) and it's a good hat, had it for many years and still going strong, although recently had to glue the band back on.

I was upstage this year by a mate in his Tilly Hat. Worth buying alone for the claptrap leaflet in the 'secret pocket' that comes with it.

+1 for tilley hats, I've had mine for a couple of years, equally helpful in arizona desert in the summer and rain in the UK,

They are designed to fit loose, so if it's windy you need to use the string. but help keep you cool

I had a cheap Tilly-type hat it was brill but our fecking maid washed it and tumble dried it and now it is too small for an Action-Man. Not good.

I recently got a Rogue when I went out to SA, it's an excellent piece of kit. Simple design, but very well made and hardy.

I got a 107K Rogue Original.

That's the one for me too. It takes 15 rabbits to make one. (just thought you'd like to know that)

The title of this thread is grossly misleading.
