The local wildlife starts moving into the house.

Four cats I've got. Four. Count 'em, and I have still got a mouse in the kitchen eating the wiring and assorted items.

The cats are on short rations until the rodent is caught. Winner gets a bowl of prawns.

Yep, our cat who normally sleeps in the utility room (which is somewhat colder than the rest of the house at the moment) has decided she must have our company in the nice warm lounge now...

Yup, our cat has pretty much become a house cat. Lives on the radiator or on her radiator bed, or our bed.

So much for her giving it the billy big bks hard as nails I'm an outdoor cat routine! rofl

Thing is though she's not burning off any energy so when she is awake is being a pain. Carpet clawing and jumping on the tv furious

Yup, ours has taken to sleeping for hours at the back of the airing cupboard.
Wakes up, stretches and claws the carpet, eats, drinks, watches the birds from the windowsill for a while then goes back to sleep!
Once or twice a day he'll go out for a few minutes, instead of the usual few hours of fence & tree climbing. Goodness knows where he's defecating; the footsteps in the snow don't go very far. perhaps he's saving it up for when the weather improves?

For the past four years of living here, Spider, my cat, leaves the house at night mainly via the bathroom window. Johnny went to put her out the other night...she was having none of it! She's a tough old thing who disappears for days on end and comes home with a dozen creature gifts. I've seen more of her this week, than in eight years!!

I want to come back as cat - preferably one as well looked after as our own.

Ours the little bugger, sleeps underneath the radiator in our bedroom, how she doesnt burn herself i'll never know, but anyway, her favourite game is to pretend to be asleep when either i or mrs slopes goes past, then attacks your ankles. Likewise she goes out for about 5 minutes, then comes belting back in, oversteers in the kitchen, then must go upstairs to use her litter tray

Yup, ours gets oversteer on the slippery wooden floor. Even funnier with wet paws.

She does like my new study toy though - a halogen heater - 3 bars - thinks the sun has come out in the study, can't lever her away from it. Or me, for that matter... hmm, I wonder if you can toast bread near it?? (heater, not cat)
