That's my thinking. Although I'd bring back a folder full of print outs of larger company share prices and charts over the years. Snag is with just using today's FT, you won't know the prices in the 50 year period so would still have to slog hard in a job for several years before you could actually trade as you'd only start making money in maybe the '80s when you hear of some flakey one man bands called Microsoft and Dell, and you'd have to hold for 15-20 years to make serious money. Perhaps I'm thinking too much into it.
