I work in an open plan office and I've complained about it before, but my esteemed colleagues around spend most of the day farting and laughing childishly at it. It might have been funny the first time, but every day, all day?

Today, the smell is horrific, it's not funny and for the love of all that is good and holy is disgusting.

Is it only me that works in an environment like this - I can manage at home as that's the nature of having a 20 month old but in the office? I may have to go and throw up.... hurlvomit

I share your pain. It's disgusting when you're forced to work in such an environment. The office I work in stinks of BO and farts. I also work from home, on my own, so I suppose I have only myself to blame.

Try working in the close confines of a lorry cab. My driver's mate and I attempt to "out guff" each other.

I was in a safety bunker at Aberporth last year after about 10 of us had been for curry the night before - nothing lived in that bunker after they had finished!

Last year there was a chap who used to fart whenever he came into my office for one or another reason.

It smelt horrific.

I have a serious issue with people farting, i think its rather disgusting. So one day i told him that if he came into my office again and farted i'd punch him in the nads.

A week later he walks past my office, doubles back and walks in, and stands right next to me, and lets rip.

15 minutes later he got up off the floor, still cradling his plums.

He was warned.

If you can't join them beat them.

Time for a couple of fish heads stapled under the desks furthest from you.

Place fresh human turds in chippy baskets all around the office and laugh along with them.

I work in an IT office and the windows are "nailed" shut to ensure that the "air conditioning runs at peak efficiency".

I am also one that doesn't really find people farting as "funny". Just disgusting.

I do sympathise with the OP.
