Zorbing (the giant air balls rolling down a hill)
Discussion
I bought this for my brother for Christmas, from Lastminute.com.
The one I bought is for Caterham, Surrey, but it was the same deal as this:

except I think I paid £50.
Four rolls for £45 is pretty good, I reckon.
OT: Airkix at Milton Keynes is really good fun too, the skydive simulator. I've done it several times now, and is a good laugh!

A friend of mine is a buyer for Activity Superstore. She raves about Zorbing/Sphereing. And Track Days. And Skydiving. And Pamper days. And Hovercrafting. And... 'Another hard day at the office' she refers to them as. Everyday!
I have done it once. Had to do the water one as there is a weight limit for 2 people on the strapped in one. We were over by a couple of kilos. With the water one you just end up getting soaked, feels like you're in a washing machine or something.
It's alot of fun, but nowhere near worth the money it costs. I think I got mine for free somehow, activity voucher present from work maybe. It literally only takes about 30 seconds or so.

Did it as a treat for a mate who's best man failed to organise a stag do. £40 quid each, got 2 runs instead of 1 as it was so quiet. And yes, we did the one with the water in it too - it's absolutely mental, both of us were giggling like idiots even though it only lasts about 30 secs.
Go when it's quiet (first or last thing) and see if you can get a deal on.

I bought my OH a go in a sphere for christmas last year. 2 people, 1 go = £50 off of IWOOT.
all in all, it was an anti climax, I hated it, partner said hes glad he did it but wont be doing it again.
It hurts more than I thought it would. Everytime the ball landed (if it was on your side) you got a smack from the force of it. back of the head hurts the most!!!!!!
they explained the the balls are never fully inflated so that it doesnt bounce too much thats why it doesnt cushion it when it lands.
once in a life time experiance for sure as we wont be going again haha.
but if you want to have a go, go for it, just be prepared as it wont be a smooth ride :P
My friend works for spheremania who do this. He tells me they do aquasphering as well as the standard spheres. I haven't yet been myself but i always hear good things. http://www.spheremania.com/sapphire/main.php?url=/ Not sure these prices are better, but i always find it's better going direct rather than through WHsmiths, argos etc....
Did this in NZ many years back with my then GF. We did the 'hydrozorb' experience where you're just in your swimming gear, no restraints and a couple of buckets of soapy water. We did it twice and both thought it really good fun, though the weather was hot and the price, if I remember correctly, was cheap. I wouldn't pay more than around £40 p/p for a regular zorb, other than that I'd say go for it
