Cockney rhyming slang
Discussion
A google search brings up a number of different options for the cockney rhyming slang for a pair of jeans.
Including:
Bethnal Greens
Steve McQueens
Baked beans
I think Bethnal Greens is my favourite but are there any Eastenders who could tell me if there is a term that is often actually used to refer to a pair of jeans?

One that has me stumped to this day. I heard it a few times on The Minder. Arthur would refer to a watch, as a 'kettle'. Why ?
Because kettles used to be suspended on chains over fires.Watches also used to be on chains, hence a watch is referred to as a kettle.
Strange but true.

it's kettle and hob (or Kettle on the hob) = fob (watch)
