My older and better looking brother is a professional musician. But when he is not doing session work he does film and TV extra work. Over the years he has appeared in a number of productions. Currently he is working on Gulliver’s Travels with Jack Black and the latest Harry Potter where he is I think a Death Eater, whatever that is.

But I think one of his biggest claims to fame is that he appeared in Star Wars episode 1 where he played a palace guard. Not only that he was made into action figure. Check out the pics:

So do any PH members make regular appearances on the big or little screen?

Purely out of interest, does he get royalties from sales of the action figure, or is it only the main actors that do?

No he does not; he had to sign those rights away. LucasFilm keep a very tight reign on all merchandising when it comes to Star Wars

Just join a decent agency. You will be surprised at how much work is available. It is very rare for my brother not to have an offer on the table

Does he have acting experience?

i.e. Would a TV crew looking for extras pick someone whos only experience of public display is dancing on tables whilst drunk?

I'd be surprised if any actors saw much out of it - Gerorge has that pretty much sewn up i'd have thought?

The problem is that you see many so-called agencies who charge a fee and do nothing more than take your money. How can I get a list of decent agencies?

So if they ever decide to make Starwars 'The Millennium Musical' we know who is going to be at the front of the queue!

That is awesome.

Have only done work for local TV, various bits on fashion when they needed some modeling and a couple of "crime-busters" re-enactments. Only got £60 for each shoot, but it only took about 30mins to 1hour each, money much needed when I was a student. Nothing as cool as staring in Star Wars thou.

My dad was an extra in "The Madness of King George".

He attended auditions in Brighton for the scenes that were filmed at Arundel Castle. He beat over 100 over applicants for the "role".

I kid ye not, he was cast as a Court Jester, which obviously we took the mickey out of him for!

Interestingly the scenes were filmed in early August, but were "in Winter" when King George is removed to the asylum.

Unfortunately his scene never made it beyond the cutting room floor, although he did have the pleasure of meeting Nigel Hawthorne & Helen Mirren!

I was on "News at Ten" when Chris Boardman won his Gold at the Barcelona Olympics. ITN sent a crew to Lotus (where I was working at the time) to film the reaction of his win to the people at the factory. I was working shifts at the time, and received a call to head to the main conference room around 8pm, when his ride was being shown live.

None at all, according big bro they are just looking for the "Look"
When he does action stuff it’s down to body shape and how athletic you are.

My brother called me just before Xmas to offer me a gig on an advert that wanted Snowboarders who could do tricks, he is good on a board but not that confident with the tricky stuff. The advert was being filmed in Canada, and was paying £800 per day plus all expenses. I could not go due to work commitments. If I could have gone I would be there now.

My mum was in all the adverts when Wrigleys launched their new chewing gum a couple of years ago.

My old next door neighbour (until he moved to LA) has been in several films.

Me. Nothing.
