Pistonheads and Cats?
Discussion
Not just on here, a lot of people love cats - and with good reason. When you consider the ease of keeping one, the intelligence, the cleanliness, the fact that they fit in well with today's busy lives, can fend for themselves, and they're just so.. amusing.
When I was younger I didn't really have time for cats, loved dogs and didn't think twice about our feline friends. It's not until you know one that you gain this affinity for them I feel. I know many many folk that don't think twice, or even hate them, but upon knowing one, see that they are fantastic animals. Non cat lovers and particularly cat haters would do well to consider this, remember, they are their own life with their own little brain in their cute furry body, sharp, alert and lazy all rolled into one.
I know there are some crap cats out there, often due to lack of attention, and these can drive the disinterest, but they really are great. Another thing to the haters, when you get to know and love one it really does make you a more empathic person, and that can only be a good thing. Shame the little b
ds themselves can be so cruel sometimes, but that's nature.

I'd agree with all of this. Used to be an avid dog-person. Then my girlfriend and I ended up looking after her mum and dad's cat which really didn't like me, eventually he came around and realised I wasn't all bad and we decided to adopt him as they never really wanted the cat (long story, but basically he was my gf's sisters cat and she moved out, leaving him with her mum and dad).
