Half monthly wage on the outgoings e.g rent, gym, phone bill, car insurance, about £100 on average in fuel, £150 on days and nights out, and after that I have very little left.

You're only clearing £500/month?

It'd be interesting to know exactly how much you spend on what, and how much you have left over. Not trying to be rude or nosey, just be interesting to know.

I would say he is spending a minimum of £600 a month on his outgoings .

My outgoings are around £450, just worked it out so its a tad less than half. I put away money each month, I clear much more than £500 though, I wouldn't be able to survive!

I figure I should probably post.

£750 in to savings for travelling.
£80 on petrol.
£300 on clothes/stuff/going out/random st.

I like not having to waste money on this mortgage and rent business. wink

Ah a young person who drives his mums car to somewhere and back and then leaves it on the drive with fumes in the petrol tank for his mum to refuel or there is no way in hell you would only be spending £80 a month on petrol.

Right...

I probably earn more than my mum every month (granted she works part time though).

I spend £20 a week, every Monday on petrol. My sister and I both paid half for the car. Sister doesn't use it though as she's at university for most of the time. I only drive to and from work (10 miles round trip) though will regularly detour for a longer drive.

Fairly presumtious!!!
