Now it's winter and I know there isn't alot of food about but bejeezus!

Stood at my back gate (fields all around, bar a few barns and a copse of trees), very dark, wearing my furry hooded parker, happily puffing on a ciggy. Next thing I turn round and there's a bloody owl a metre away from my head. Luckily it noticed I wasn't dinner just before it stuck it's talons in my head! It full reversed/hovered, massive wingspan (about a meter and a half) and then it swooped off. I never heard a thing, it was soooo quiet!

Anyways safe indoors now, thought I'd share as that was definately a first for me. What a remarkable creature.

I was very still, puffing away, I think it must have seen the fur on my hood and thought I was a furry sat on the fence waiting to be owl dinner.

Anyone else had a similar experience? nuts

Yep I think you're right in your assesment. It spied the fur on your hood and thought it was dinner. We get a lot of owls round where I live (as well as some falcons now and again). They've got unbelieveably good eyesight but are a bit lacking in the brains department.

Happened to my wife when she was a child. Dead of winter and she was running around in a rabbit fur (likely fake fur) jacket at the local Zoo. When she got to the Eagle section those big huge scary birds did their best to dive bomb threw the rope nets! Seemed to think she was a once in a lifetime rabbit!

Then she has had a long tradition of being attacked by various birds. Ducks, geese, pigeons, ete ete. She isn't a fan.

No, because you'll be spending your time on the Naughty Step, for that particularly piss-poor piece of punning.

Anyway, it wasn't really an Owl.

It was your future self, in Owl form.

Trying to tell you that cigarettes are evil, and will kill you in the end.

Not the cancer - you won't live long enough - but the fact that fake-parka fur burns like magnesium.

Are you sure it was an owl?

Have you seen the film "The Fourth Kind"?

I'm just glad I wasn't wearing my real red russian fox fur hat at the time otherwise I'd have been a right foxy meat treat!

The first person to use the 'Wear The Fox Hat' gag incurs extra Naughty Step time.
