Are all these true?

1. 2+2=4
2. 2x2=4 (wtf! how can that be true if 1. is also true???)
3. Square root of 4 is 2 (doesn't sound right to me)
4. 2 squared = 4 (teachers are just taking the piss now!)

And two square foot is not the same area as two foot squared.

Two square foot is actually a square area about 17 x 17 inches.
