Do you ever say sorry to the OH. Had a bit of a tiff with mine and now realise that I was "little" in the wrong. I know if I say sorry though that it will be cast up and haunt me forever. I tend just to let this kind of thing blow over without actually apologizing. May be male ego or whatever but I find it really hard to say sorry.

So, in the testosterone filled world of PH, how do you chaps handle it, do you go groveling, mutter under your breaths a half hearted sorry or just start acting as if nothing happened.

Oh grow up, and just admit you were wrong!

Plus if you have your fingers crossed behind your back when you so it, it doesn't really count hehe

Admitting when you are wrong is the difference between being a child or an adult.

I can't help but agree. I find it so damn hard to apologise for anything!

My ex-gf's family used to have blazing rows where they would end up not speaking to each other for a while. Eventually someone would break the silence (but never by apologising) and things would go back to normal. Until the next blazing row (where quite often previous unresolved issues would be cast back up).

A VERY unhealthy way of living, I think.

Some "people" would rather cut off their nose to spite their face than admit they were wrong/sorry, even though they know they are in the wrong, weird.

OP, you are obviously male...

.. becuase a female would never ever even consider saying sorry if they were slightly in the wrong.

biggrin

And I've typed that with the OH sat beside me, and she's read it, but can't say anything yet 'cos' she's on the phone to her mum.

No doubt she'll have something to say in a few minutes!

On behalf of the PH massive I have decided to chart new waters and will attempt to say sorry, OH is currently sulking and acting all hurt in the Bedroom. This is new ground for me and am currently trying to work up the courage.

Will keep you posted on the results of this trial. smile

Sulking in the bedroom you say... apologise, be sensitive etc and you'll be rewarded handsomely.

If I'm wrong and I know I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong. It doesn't come back and bite me. Anything else is too complicated.

I think people trust my opinion more if they know I'm able to admit when I'm wrong.... as long as I'm not wrong all the time!

I have to say I am very good at saying sorry and meaning it. Those around me that aren't as fantastic at it as me annoy the hell out of me.

I make no apologies for my great abilities!

Depends on the argument, if im in the right(for once), then not a chance in hell of me saying sorry, but when im in the wrong(every damn day at the moment) then i usually storm off and spend ten minutes cooling off before grovelling and asking mrs slopes to please leave the knives in the kitchen, they dont belong in the bedroom
