I live a pretty innocent life, I'm not a fan of horror movies (in fact I literally haven't seen any!) and recently I haven't seen anything on the news/TV/etc that's been gruesome....so WHY did I have such a hideous dream last night?!?!

I dreamt a guy killed me by dunking my head in a bowl of boiling acid and holding me there until all my skin etc had melted off into the bowl, and just lifted out my skull. He then picked up the bowl and drank the bloody-fleshy contents of it.

WHAT ON EARTH?!?! Where did that come from?! How is my brain even capable of producing such gross material?!

Baffled.

Perhaps the clue is in your user name? As in step away from the E-numbers?

Have you ever woken up in a strange place with no memory of the last 24 hours?

Find a bloody knife in your pocket?

If the answer's no then you probably ate too much cheese before bedtime. yes

On the other hand...

Cheese will do it, I bought some cheap-as-st cheese from Tesco and that stuff used to give me some really weird dreams if eaten before bedtime... I used to wonder if it was made with LSD.

maybe it was the weather, last night I had a dream that somebody chopped off my arms and legs and put me in the oven - really not cool, glad I am not alone!

I used to think that the cheese thing was make-believe, until I had a cheese sandwich very late one night before bed a few months back. I had the weirdest dream ever. Jumping from one scary scenario to another. yikes

Interesting point... but dinner consisted of sausages and mash with veg?! And a cup of tea?! Def. no enumbers or much sugar, no cheese, and no I'm not quitting smoking!

Everyone has weird, vivid and unexplainable dreams once in a while. It is just your brain having a stretch.

I didn't think it was possible to dream that you were killed, or have I also been eating too much cheese?

Usually dreams are taken too seriously.
All dreams are product of your mind taking into account things of your life and combining them into some twisted thing. It's usually a result of some internal fear that you have not yet realized.
Sometimes it could mean more...but I wouldn't be too worried.

My daughter, age 7, had a nightmare the other night. A robot dog with metal jaws had chewed the back legs off our actual dog and he was crawling around pulling his stumps. That's not very nice for a 7 year old to be dreaming.

I dn't really have nightmares/dreams, until I recently bought an electric blanket.

Whenever I keep the blanket on all night I get some really crazy nightmares!
