Driving in the sun hurts my eyes.. And it's starting to get bad around this time of the year, so god knows what it'll be like if we have a summer. Thinking about picking up a nice pair of sunglasses...

Any ideas?

Have couple of pairs of Raybans and they have proved durable, comfortable, and effective...

You cant beat Serengeti's drivers lenses. Having tried Rayban, Maui Jim and Oakley IMO nothing comes close to the Serengeti's.

Not tried the Serengetis but I've sworn by Oakleys for ages now - also, their customer service is tip top.

Steamer is correct, Frogskins are the only Oakleys that don't make you look like a US Law Enforcement Officer.

I like Von Zipper however.

Sunglasses are subject to your own lifestyle / age / fashion / shape of your noggin.

I bought a pair of Prada sunglasses from a guy in London who had pinched them. If I hadn't then someone else would have.

Polarised lenses and verified at a Sunglass Hut in Florida as worth £400. I wear them and love them.

Have an old pair of Oakleys I use for tennis in the summer. Decent lenses make sooo much difference it is unreal.

Another vote for Oakleys, their customer service is brilliant. Mine broke under warranty, repaired and returned, then the same fault out of warranty a month or two later. A brand new pair dispatched from them at their cost. Beyond expectation custmoer service.

Also many differing styles these days from FBI to CIA and even DEA!

Oakley/RayBan/Maui Jim.

These are the only things worth considering. I have almost as many pairs of sunglasses as I have watches, Tamiya r/c cars or games consoles. I've tried every brand out there, and got rid of them all to be left with the above.

Oakley for pure glare reduction. They are amazing. Nothing else comes close. They also make a massive range of styles to suit any taste.

RayBan for pure optical perfection. Older ones preferable with the proper Bausch & Lomb lenses. My Grandfather's Aviators from the early 80s (he was a pilot) are a favourite.

Maui Jim. A relatively new brand to market, but have been around a while as a niche. I only have a couple of pairs, but they resist scratches like nothing I've ever seen, don't mind being sat on, stood on, or otherwise abused. Good glare reduction, but relies on heavier tinting than Oakley do for the same level of protection.

Utter, utter coontery.

You are no different from the thieving scum.

Do you think that worthless 'justification' holds any water?

Try the same argument in relation to a gang rape, for instance.

You sicken me.

And you are 100% okay with that?

You feel 'good' wearing them? Not like a dirty, cheap cu-stard?
