The manager of Slow Fit yesterday - sixtyish and overweight - decided to chat up a lady who had been waiting for two and a half hours with no sign of her car being ready. He put a lot of effort into finding out she was a former police officer who now worked in prisons with violent young offenders with drug problems.
This was his cue to start bragging about how little truck he would take from a violent young un who came at him and what he would do to the unfortunate yoof.
