It would appear that the MoD have released another batch of letters from nutters concerned parties pertaining to UFO sightings over the UK.

Through idle curiousity, I downloaded one of the PDF files of letters and I'm amazed at some of them - one which contained the term "The X-Files", but where the complainant had taken the time to recreate the logo in the text, rather than just write "The X-Files", and another which particularly caught my eye contained the following:

Some UFO type said:
Employ me with your department and I will sign the OSA.

...

Although employed by the MOD, I would have to do things my way ie as stated access to *all* UFO information, to be able to travel to anywhere in Britain whenever I consider it necessary, an assistant - female because when travelling and staying at a hotel, there will be much discussion and that is easier done with a "wife" than with another male and specific equipment we can carry during investigation.
So not only does he want access to all the super secret files, but he doesn't want to submit to active duty and wants the MoD to hook him up with a piece of skirt too!!!

I'm genuinely stunned by some of the contents, not because of any UFO stuff, but at the unbelieveable amount of complete and utter crap that the mail room staff at the MoD would have had to wade through on a seemingly daily basis!

If you're interested - here is the link to the National Archives UFO pages

Probably 85% + of the sightings are rubbish and people mistaken, but 15%ish must be "unexplained". Google for alien greys underground. Have a read for a few minutes.

Do you believe in UFO's?

I cannot believe that the human race would be arrogant enought to even consider that we are the only beings in the cosmos.

agreed. it's extremely unlikely we are on the only inhabited planet. whether we are the only 'intelligent' (i use that loosely given todays society hehe ) life form is a possibility, but the only life form....the chances of that are extremely slim.

I would love to be around the day when "they" announce "they" have found something.

How wierd would that be? I wonder what the religeous implications would be...

That would be a huge day. Imagine you have devoted your life to a belief in a god to only find that it was all false. There would be either a huge amount of peace break out or even more war

Who is "they" then? Always a they. Has anyone asked ET who it is going to inform first? Always seems to be someone in a swamp in the middle of nowhere.

Why would the arrival of an alien race mean that there is no God? Do you think if a God had created this world he would just stop and not bother with anything else?

Dunno. Isn't that what the religeous type believe? Not really clued up on that TBH.

I believe the Pope has said its OK for aliens to exist along with the spaghetti monster or something. So religion seems happy with it.

It isn't "They" you need to be worried about rather The Thing from Uranus that is the real cause for concern.

Hmm .... any fact which depends on "belief" is always dubious in my mind.

I can't believe that the human race would be arrogant enough to even consider that we are of any importance to any space going life out there, and that they pop by for a visit every month or so...

I think those that really, actually do believe that there is not another intelligent race out there somewhere are seiously miss-guided!

If you work out (or try to at least) the figures then (I at least feel) it is only a matter of time before someone discovers something, or something discovers us.

As said above, it is either miss-guided or somply arrogant to not accept that as a fact.
