They had a climate challenge in our office - all sorts of conformists entered the challenge to pledge save energy long term by one means or another and provided an indication on how they'd do it.
I entered the challenge with my pledge to offset all the savings of the others.
Funnily enough I didn't win.

I've nothing against saving energy, we should all do it where possible. However, it's this CO2 claptrap that annoys me. So I've asked them this:
"Hi can you tell me what the percentage of the world's atmosperic CO2 will be reduced by if UK drivers heed the call to drive five miles less per week?
Many thanks, Andy"
I bet they don't reply.

I take the long route home some days. Partly for a nice drive when the weather is pleasant, and partly to drive 5 miles more a week just out of principle.
Friggin prats. Countries like China churning out billions of tonnes of the stuff and them telling is to drive a few miles less to save the planet...

not sure i'll get a response....
how can i....
cripple an already fragile economy with ill thought taxes based on flawed science which is far from the consensus of the independant scientific community?
people are getting wise to 'global warming' and mk 2, 'climate change', so how about 'weather wanging'?
WWT (weather wanging tax).... it's a winner!

Not sure I will get a response. But here is my question
As per the title, can you please explain the below video, based on temperature reading from the Grenland and Arctic Ice Core temps.
As you can see the Temperature was A LOT higher 2000 years ago and several periods tens of thousands of years ago.
So, please explain, how is the human race destroying the world? Also, how is reducing my driving by 5 miles per week going to save the planet? I don't seem to recall any documentaries informing me that cars were the main cause of the earth warming up 10,000 years ago.

I asked this about saving water
Most of the world is water, most of the people in it are made up of water. You keep telling us if the planet warms up (I can't actually wait for this because my office is freezing and I am fed up of having to wear a coat when I drive to the pub on a morning before work) that sea levels will rise.
Therefore surely the last thing we need to do is save water. Oh and when I was at school I was taught about the water cycle several times, that cycle means that water never actually runs out, unless the government is call Miss Henderson (a bloody good teacher) a liar.
I look forward to your responses to the above, because by my reckoning we need to get shot of some water quickly before Norwich vanishes forever. Perhaps we could sell it to the desert people and use the money to buy a few more Toyota Priuses as company cars, after all the production of them doesn't create much pollution does it?

Dear climber change.
I read about the world becoming hotter, and the poler bears drowning, and all the earthqakes. It's made me very scared, so i've turned my air conditioning to super cold, and opened all the winders in my house.
I like poler bears as they are the best bears and i'd like to have one as my friend.

Hello,
I have a problem. My water goes the wrong way down the plug. I've left it running for a few months, hopefully whatever the problem is will clear soon, unless you have any other ideas?
Look forward to your response.

Just sent this..
Dear Acton C02,
I have ben trying to reduce CO2 in my garden. I keep putting the males in one cage and the females in another, but these darned CO2's are pretty wiley, and jolly randy. They keep biting through the netting and mating, thus producing more baby CO2's. I don't know the reproduction figures or gestation period but it seems bloody quick.
Every morning there's another little CO2 sitting there suckling on it's Mum.
How can I reduce my CO2s ? Use thicker netting, leave them in darkness or just wrap em in clingfilm ?
Also, where in Acton are Act on CO2 ? I've been driving round west London for weeks trying to find you.. !!!

Hi,
I regularly see the Government banging on about Climate Change yet then boot out people that have different views (anyone remember that Climate Change expert that got told to resign??)
Another one is, for example, this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0dDlwfnT8w
It clearly explains, using data that is also available to the Government...and its scientists (that it seems get made to resign if they have differing view points) yet we are still banging on about the dangers of Climate Change.
Similarly we keep getting told to "save water" surely this is the worst thing we could be doing if we are soon going to be over-run by water, sinking our coastal towns? Does this not seem at all counterproductive? But, surely saving water is not really any idea at all is it? When I was at school I was taught about the water cycle several times, that cycle, means that water never actually runs out, unless the government is to call its own educational establishments...Which it keeps piling money into, liars.
Does the Government actually have hard evidence to support these changes…or are they just blowing smoke whilst fobbing anyone off who has different viewpoints? It seems for a Government which prides its self on offering a voice for the people and good, informed, choices…your not doing very well.
I don’t really expect you to reply as I am not asking how much CO2 I am saving by not filling my kettle up…all the same, I look forward to one, if it does arrive.
Regards,
Martin Wood
