I've got an evening presentation to attend (I'm up for an Architecture award) at a hotel/golf club and it's DJ's.....I don't have one so which do I hire?

2 piece DJ
3 piece DJ
2 piece Tux

I'm not familier with dress etiquette, so could the PH massive please help....

Buy one you tight bd! wink Seriously the hired ones will make you look like a posh tramp. DJ's are not expensive if you think how long they last.

EFA 2 piece, PROPER BOW tie & no stupid coloured ones

2 piece DJ, Marks & Spencer around a hundred quid, good enough as lets face it people are only sober enough to take any notice for the first half hour and you'll only ever wear it once or twice a year anyway.

Infact following that logic try this pikie DJ

But yes get a real bowtie as once you get bladdered you can undo it, look like James Bond (well maybe not in an ASDA DJ) and chicks dig it wink, oh and make sure you wear plain oxford lace up shoes or patent evening shoes, brouges, slip ons, or converse all stars make you look like a peasant or a pop star.

A tuxedo is the American term for a Dinner suit/Dinner jacket, so they're both the same thing! The 2 piece is always the best way to go, worn with a white evening shirt and a black bow tie.

Hope this is of help. smile

BTW, 2 piece black, no cummerbund, no wing collar, black bowtie.

The only time you should ever hire one is when you get older and fatter, that way you send the smaller trousers back and keep the bigger ones wink A DJ for life a bit like Triggers Broom hehe

Get a turned down collar, not a wing collar. A wing collar is for UK white tie or American black tie.

All this, especially the patent shoes - M&S do cheap ones.
